Estate & Collectible Pipe House
Every estate pipe is a small archive. The stamping on the shank, the wear on the button, the depth of a sandblast, the color a piece of briar takes on after decades in a collector's cabinet — each detail records where a pipe was made, when, by whom, and how it was kept. Faridunhill exists to read that record properly, and to pass it on intact.
The Encyclopedia Standard
Faridunhill is an estate and collectible pipe house built on a single conviction: a pipe deserves the same standard of documentation a serious collector would demand of any antique.
Every pipe that passes through our hands is identified by maker, shape, finish, and era before it is ever offered. Stampings are read against period nomenclature. Shape numbers are traced to the maker's own catalog system, not guessed at. Condition is graded honestly, on a defined scale, with flaws disclosed exactly as they are — location, extent, and effect on value.
Where dating is possible, we date. Where it is not, we say so. An honest ‘circa’ backed by evidence is worth more to a collector than a confident year pulled from thin air.

What We Sell
Our shelves carry Dunhill, Peterson, GBD, Stanwell, Charatan, the great Danish freehand makers — alongside worthy pieces from smaller workshops that reward a closer look. Every piece is offered as a collectible: photographed in detail, described in plain encyclopedic language, and priced against real market evidence rather than wishful thinking.
We believe even an imperfect pipe has a place in a collection. A hairline crack in a fine old Peterson does not erase its history; it becomes part of the record, disclosed plainly and priced accordingly. Nothing here is hidden behind soft lighting or vague adjectives.
Collector to Collector
Faridunhill was built by a collector, for collectors. Behind the shop stands years of hands-on appraisal work in the estate pipe community — reading hallmarks, resolving disputed date codes, separating original stems from replacements, and learning the small tells that photographs alone rarely show. That experience is in every listing we write.
When you buy from Faridunhill, you are not buying from a warehouse. You are dealing with someone who has held the pipe, examined it under proper light, and written its description personally to the same standard he would expect if he were the buyer.
Our Promise
That is the whole promise. It has been enough to earn the trust of collectors across eBay, Etsy, and now here, at our own home on the web. See our Authenticity & Description Standard for exactly how we identify, date, and grade.
Welcome to Faridunhill. Take your time — the good ones reward a slow look.
