About this Piece
Bellini in script on the shank, MADE IN ITALY in small capitals beneath it: this is a Bellini straight billiard in a smooth finish, fat in the shank and the stem, on an acrylic tapered stem.
The stem takes a 9mm filter and ends in a fishtail mouthpiece. The Bellini script reads clearly in the close-up; in the line below, MADE IN IT is clear and the last letters of ITALY are faint. It is pre-smoked, in very good condition.

- MADE IN ITALY in small capitals under the script (the last letters faint)
The stamp itself says the pipe was made in Italy.
A billiard is the classic pipe shape: a bowl shaped like a cylinder, set on a straight shank. This bowl is 47 mm high and 35 mm wide around a chamber 20 mm across and 38 mm deep. Shank and stem are both thick, and the acrylic stem tapers from the shank to the fishtail bit.
The finish is smooth, and grain lines show on the bowl and the shank. A smooth finish has no blast or carving on the surface, so what the eye reads is the grain of the briar itself.
No date is given for this pipe.
